Institute of Hospitality Webinar
By kind invitation, our MD and chief hubbie Rebecca Riches, hosted a webinar on behalf of the Institute of Hospitality this month, entitled ‘How to Engage with Today’s Discerning Hospitality Guest’.
The 30 minute informative webinar was steamed live to members of the exclusive Institute of Hospitality on 14th June 2016. Covering a broad range of tips and advice, Rebecca demonstrated how best to engage with existing and prospect customers, by implementing an engaging content marketing strategy that resonates with today’s astute consumer.
During the webinar Rebecca gave a number of provoking statistics; when speaking about converting guests to become brand advocates and publish positive reviews, she highlighted the compelling hotelier scenario when considering a 100 room property, with a 60% occupancy rate and an average of 1.4 guests per room, how that could potentially generate 31,000 storytellers per year for the hotel alone.
Rebecca also explained that over 59% of travellers are influenced by online reviews, demonstrating how the digital habits of guests is fuelling choice and conversion – a fascinating fact presented was that hoteliers host more smart devices per room than actual guests in today’s digital world!
