Future of Fine Dining

While fine dining remains the ultimate eat-out experience, there's a definite trickle-down effect to 'fast fine' - which offers consumers the broader aspects they value from fine dining, just at a more affordable price point. However, this segment poses a stronger threat to casual dining restaurants compared to traditional fine dining segments.

MICHELIN 2018 LIST:

The Araki sushi bar in Mayfair was the UK’s lone upgrade to three stars.

Bibendum in Chelsea was the only restaurant to debut at the two-star level.

Wild Honey Inn is the first pub in Ireland ever to get a Michelin star.

Michael Caines, who previously earned two stars at Gidleigh Park, which he left in 2015, receives a one-star rating for Lympstone Manor.

Tom Kerridge’s no-reservations pub The Coach gets a star.

Kerridge’s the Hand & Flowers has two stars and was the UK’s first-ever pub to receive a Michelin rating.

Paco Tapas in Bristol received one star. The restaurant’s sister restaurant Casamia — which helped put Bristol on the map — already had a Michelin star.
