Hub Spot - Bulk Market
A fantastic initiative caught our eye this month - Bulk Market - London’s First Zero-Waste Supermarket.
Founder Ingrid Caldironi’s aim is to tackle food and packaging waste, as plastic waste is one of the biggest public health and environmental issues of the generation. Bulk Market is a plastic-free grocers which recently filled a temporary pop-up space in Kingsland Road, with a full time home in Clapton coming soon. Shoppers are invited to bring their own containers to fill with their purchases, consequently reducing waste and only taking home the items they buy. Products range from fresh fruit and veg, dairy and eggs, dried fruits, nuts, seed and cereals to household, personal care and pet items. Exciting ‘coming soon’ categories include beer & wine and gin!
