Bel UK appoints The Hub for retail trade communications
Cheese manufacturer Bel UK has appointed The Hub as its agency of record for its on going retail trade communications.
Having already been appointed for the brand’s foodservice communications in January 2014 following a successful three-way pitch, The Hub will now look after the PR and media buying across multiple and convenience retail for some the nation’s most loved cheese brands, including Mini Babybel®, The Laughing Cow®, Leerdammer®, Port Salut® and Boursin®.
Specialising in foodservice, retail and hospitality communications, The Hub will hit the ground running as it already has a solid understanding of Bel UK portfolio.
The move will help Bel maximise its exposure across a range of trade media. Recent years have seen the emergence of a third way, where consumers are increasingly blurring the lines between foodservice and retail as we shop the snack differently. The Hub’s in depth knowledge of both of these areas is set to help Bel share its message with the widest possible audience.
Jonathan Patterson, associate director at The Hub comments: ‘We are extremely pleased that Bel UK has appointed us for not only its out of home communications, but also its retail trade programme. It’s a really exciting time for the brand and we feel privileged to be part of that. Our relationship has developed over the last 18 months and the new appointment can only strengthen this further.
Sarah Blackwell, trade marketing manager at Bel UK comments: We’re excited to be working even closer with The Hub over the coming months as we put in to place a comprehensive retail strategy. Our decision to place all of our trade communications with The Hub made absolute sense and was confirmed when they pitched a creative and intuitive proposal. We are looking forward to working closely with The Hub on our retail communications and combining our visions for success across all of our brands.
