Rebecca Riches Founder – Managing Director

Rebecca Riches Founder – Managing Director

Rebecca has worked in media for over 25 years, starting off as a junior planner before becoming new business manager at London advertising agency CDP. Later entering into PR at Sputnik Communications, press office for HRH The Duchess of York, as well as managing clients including Skoda, San Pellegrino and Children in Crisis.

As a foodie at heart, Rebecca decided to focus her career in the foodservice sector, subsequently joining an independent specialist agency as account director, heading up the Nestle and Pepsico accounts. Having earned a standing in the foodservice market and with much encouragement from her industry peers, Rebecca took the decision to start her own agency – The Hub was founded in 2004 and has grown exponentially year-on-year since. Now in its second decade, The Hub retains a client roster of the most influential food and drinks brands and has gained a reputation as the specialist foodservice and retail PR and trade marketing ‘go-to’ agency.

Rebecca was awarded Winner Women in PR and Marketing Award 2016.

Mark Craze Chairman

Mark Craze Chairman

Mark began his career as a graduate trainee in the advertising agency Grandfield Rork Collins. After deciding to specialise in media, Mark joined TMD, the UK’s largest Media Buyer and in 1991, aged 31, became Managing Director. Following TMD's acquisition by Carat Mark was promoted to Group CEO. In 1999, Mark attended the Advanced Management Programme at Harvard Business School and on his return became Aegis Media UK Group CEO.

After moving to Havas, Mark took on the role of Havas Media Group UK CEO where he led the Group's dramatic expansion through a combination of organic growth and acquisitions.

In 2014 Mark stepped down from Havas to develop a portfolio career. He now has a range of advisory roles including the Chairmanship of Outsmart , advising Rosling King, a leading City Law Firm whilst also acting as a business mentor for the Prince's Trust.

Jonathan Patterson Client Services Director

Jonathan Patterson Client Services Director

Having worked in food and drink communications for more than 20 years, JP has done pretty much everything from briefing development chefs on photo-shoots through managing media relations for one of the biggest brands on our High Streets to presenting on media and forecasting trends at board level for a major foodservice distributor. In addition to delivering category and brand communications, JP has created high impact and campaignable activity plans for a range of businesses, large and small, delivering results through well managed teams.

Widely experienced in the out of home and Foodservice channel, and with a strong background in convenience and high frequency retail, JP has worked closely with some of the industry's biggest global brands including Red Bull, Mondelez, Diageo, Procter & Gamble, Burger King, Coca Cola Enterprises, General Mills and many more.

Nick Haigh Creative Director

As Creative Director, Nick leads the design department - an experienced team of inspiring creative talent. With over 15 years experience gained across a diverse field of design houses and advertising agencies, Nick has worked his artistic brilliance on a variety of campaigns for the likes of Rentokil, NHS, Channel 4, Volvo, Hotpoint, Specsavers, and Adidas, to name a few.

By skillfully combining the creative delivery process with the production of an ultimate integrated vision, Nick ensures that every element of a brand’s marketing is considered as part of one strategy. Nick can visualize where our clients are aspiring to be and direct design work that convenes to their business goals. His conceptual thinking brings to life simple big ideas as finely crafted executions, empowering his team to deliver innovative, cutting edge and stunning campaigns that create memorable impact across the trade.

Since joining The Hub in 2007 Nick has conceived a host of stunning projects and advertising campaigns across print and digital, including website design, brand and concept development for a diverse range of clients and categories such as Enterprise Inns, Gram, Café Direct, Premier Foods, Brakes, Kerry and Tetley.

Carly Smith PR Director

Carly Smith PR Director

Carly brings 10 years of marketing experience to the team, from time both in-house and agency. With her early career cemented in consumer PR, working on brands such as Specsavers, Wall’s, Beko and Black & Decker, Carly followed her love of food brands, moving into the world of FMCG and B2B marketing at Camden-based agency, Mercieca, in 2009. Here, she developed and implemented integrated campaigns across the retail convenience and out of home channels for global brands, including, Coca-Cola Enterprises, Mondelez and Diageo. Later, Carly moved in-house to work with speciality food company, Leathams, as trade marketing manager, before joining The Hub in 2014.

Tracey Reid People Director

Tracey Reid People Director

Tracey has 15 years experience in senior HR roles at two plc’s, Capital Radio and Huntsworth. In 2009, Tracey founded Tapestry HR, a consultancy specialising in best practice, change and transformation initiatives, career development and business mentoring. During her career, Tracey has worked with a number of senior figures and leadership teams, in delivering organisation designs and talent strategy programmes.
